The service consists of chanted Psalms\, readings from the Bible\, traditional canticles and a Marian anthem\, and prayers both said and sung. Evensong is directly followed by Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament\, a service of prayers and hymns offered in praise of our Lord’s presence in the sacred mysteries of his Body and Blood.
